What I do

How can I help you?

User Experience [UX]

When designing, my focus is always on envisioning how the user will interact with each specific feature. Continuous testing, after research, is the key to ensuring a usable website for any person who comes to your site.

  • Card Sort
  • Tree Test
  • Define an Audience
  • Information Architecture
  • User Test

User Interface [UI]

Coming up with the design is the most complicated piece of a project. It has to be usable, follow the company's brand, appealing to the eye, and display correctly all screens.

  • Sketching
  • Wireframes
  • Illustrator
  • Photoshop

Responsive Design [RWD]

I love writing HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript. I work very hard to make sure every feature on a website looks perfect on every browser and in every width. Finding and learning new ways to code layouts and styles is very rewarding.

Reduce the width of your screen to see how passionate I am!

  • HTML
  • CSS / SCSS
  • Frameworks - Bootstrap & Foundation
  • JavaScript

Accessibility [A11y]

A11y is always at the top of my mind in every step of the web process. From UX to the CMS chosen, each piece must be accessible. I've used many browser extensions, as well as Siteimprove to test my design and code against the WCAG 2.1 standards.

Content Management Systems [CMS]

I believe a good content management system can change a content editor's life. I've developed websites in:

  • Drupal (7 & 8)
  • WordPress
  • Kentico
  • Sitecore

Documentation

Documentation is one of my least favorite parts of a project, but I know it's a crucial document for content editors, other developers, and for myself.

Writing comments in the code helps keep it organized and readable when I come back to it later. Content editor documentation is important because one of my goals in creating a website is to be able to hand it off to the client allowing them to edit without problem.
